Proper irrigation during the cell expansion phase leads to larger fruit and better Brix levels. Under-irrigation during this stage reduces both yield and quality.

Depending on the region, mango orchards require up to 1,000 mm of water per year—often concentrated during flowering and fruit growth in arid zones.

Mangos are sensitive to salinity above 2.5 dS/m. Metzer systems help manage this by controlling salinity in the irrigation solution, especially when using treated wastewater.

Two laterals per row, evenly spaced, ensure uniform water distribution in the upper 60 cm of soil. Dripper spacing and flow are tailored to soil texture and tree needs.
