Air Release Valves
Plastic air release / vacuum relief valves
Air Release and Vacuum Relief valves are engineered to manage efficient air discharge and intake within water pipelines during system start-up and shut-down phases. They expel trapped air during pipe filling and permit air entry under vacuum or negative pressure, protecting pipelines and connected components from potential damage. Offered in reinforced plastic, these valves combine durability with resistance to weathering and corrosion, making them well-suited for both agricultural irrigation and industrial system applications.
Applications:
- Kinetic Air Expulsion: As the pipeline fills, the air release valve stays open, allowing excess air to be discharged from the system. When water fully occupies the pipe, the valve shuts firmly to create a reliable, leak-proof seal.
- Kinetic Air Admission: If negative pressure or a vacuum develops within the pipeline, the valve activates to let air enter. This prevents vacuum-related stress and protects both pipes and connected components from potential damage.
Highlights
- Lightweight Construction: High-strength aluminum (metal) or durable, weather-resistant reinforced plastic valves ensure easy installation and long-lasting durability.
- Efficient Air Expulsion and Intake: Large volume air release/intake capability during pipe filling and pump shut off.
- Low Pressure Sealing
- Debris Protection: The venting passage is fitted with a screen that prevents debris from entering and causing blockages.
