Flat Drippers Insertion System
Flat Drippers Insertion System
Metzer’s dripper insertion system is a high-precision, high-speed unit designed to embed flat drippers into dripline pipes with exceptional accuracy and reliability. A centrifugal bowl feeder orients the drippers and feeds them onto a long belt conveyor, which serves as a buffer while reducing compressed air and energy consumption. A large-capacity elevating hopper ensures continuous feeding for extended production runs.
At the heart of the system, two servo-driven caterpillars insert the drippers into the pipe at controlled spacing, with speeds up to twice the line speed—limited only by feeder capacity. A water-cooled dripper passage guides the drippers through the die head, with micrometric linear and angular adjustments ensuring repeatable positioning and strong bonding.
The entire assembly is mounted on guide rails for smooth integration and easy retraction. In the event of a fault, the system pneumatically withdraws from the die head. An integrated control cabinet and LCD touchscreen interface provide intuitive setup, performance monitoring, and alarm handling—streamlining operation and maintenance.
