How We Made It Happen
Challenge
The project required a single irrigation system to serve two crops with different water demands—8 hours daily for coconut and 18 hours for oil palm. Sourcing water from a rain-fed reservoir meant efficiency and reliability were crucial. The site lacked existing infrastructure and demanded robust, low-maintenance components.
Resolution
A full turnkey solution was completed over a 6-month period, including a newly installed main pipeline, pump station, sand and disc filtration units and basic automation. Metzer’s MZ303 Flow Regulating Micro-Sprinklers were selected for reliable and precise irrigation. The system was calibrated to deliver crop-specific irrigation cycles, providing uniform water distribution and long-term operational stability across the orchard.
