Challenge
Designing a fully automated irrigation solution using two irrigation methods—center pivot and reel hose—while sourcing water directly from a river and maintaining consistent pressure and filtration across all irrigation zones.
Resolution
Metzer ATC (Metzer-Group’s subsidiary in S.E. Asia) executed the hydraulic design and supplied both pivot and reel hose systems, supported by a floating pumping station on the river and a centralized pumping house. The project included full automation, two filtration systems, controlled hydraulic valves, and a complete piping network from river to field. A smart water supply layout ensured efficient distribution, and the project concluded with installation, run-up, and operator training.To ensure reliable water delivery, Metzer also constructed a floating pumping station at the water source, a reinforced pumping house, and a main pipeline network to feed all pivot units—overcoming elevation challenges and ensuring uniform pressure across the entire field.
