How We Made It Happen
Challenge
Developing a fully automated irrigation system for Thailand’s first large-scale governmental medical cannabis cultivation—delivered during the logistical and operational constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic. The system had to meet strict agronomic requirements, support varying climate zones, and comply with high-level security protocols.
Resolution
Metzer delivered a comprehensive solution for four climate-controlled greenhouses spanning 3,800 m². The project included design and installation of RO-treated water supply, climate-specific fertigation systems, and a centralized control room. Metzer’s Gali PCND 2 l/h on-line drippers ensured accurate irrigation per plant. Advanced automation, along with full surveillance and security infrastructure, enabled consistent operation and high grower satisfaction despite pandemic-related constraints.
